Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the city and its birding hotspots.

Day 2: Transfer to Mabamba Wetland
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Mabamba Wetland, one of Uganda’s prime birding locations. We’ll take a boat ride through the wetland in search of the rare shoebill stork, as well as other waterbird species.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
In the morning, we’ll drive to Lake Mburo National Park, where we’ll spend the day exploring the park’s diverse birdlife. We’ll take a boat ride on Lake Mburo and a nature walk to search for birds such as the rare African finfoot, papyrus yellow warbler, and the red-faced barbet.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where we’ll check-in at our lodge. Along the way, we’ll make several stops to birdwatch and take in the breathtaking scenery.

Day 5-7: Gorilla Trekking and Birding
These three days will be dedicated to gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, as well as birding in the forest. Bwindi is home to over 350 bird species, including 23 endemic to the Albertine Rift Valley.

Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we’ll take a game drive en route to the lodge. We’ll have a chance to see a variety of birds, including the African fish eagle, grey crowned crane, and the martial eagle.

Day 9: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
In the morning, we’ll embark on a game drive to explore the park’s wildlife, including birds such as the shoebill stork and the African skimmer. In the afternoon, we’ll take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where we’ll have a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of waterbirds.

Day 10: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Kibale Forest National Park, where we’ll check-in at our lodge. In the afternoon, we’ll go for a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp to search for birds such as the great blue turaco, blue-breasted kingfisher, and the African pitta.

Day 11: Chimpanzee Trekking and Birding
We’ll wake up early and head to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre, where we’ll receive a briefing on chimpanzee trekking before embarking on a trek in the forest. You’ll have the opportunity to see other primates, such as colobus monkeys and baboons, as well as a variety of bird species.

Day 12: Departure
After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. You’ll have one last chance to spot some of Uganda’s birdlife along the way.
