Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala for overnight. After an early breakfast the following morning, you will begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving southwest through the scenic countryside of Uganda. You will have a stopover at the Equator for some photo moments and proceed to the park, arriving in the afternoon. You will then take a game drive in the park to see some of the resident wildlife such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
After an early breakfast, you will set off for a morning game drive in the park, during which you will have a chance to see more wildlife such as leopards, hyenas, and various bird species. You will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lakes Edward and George. You will have an opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species as they come to drink water from the channel. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge
After breakfast, you will drive to Kyambura Gorge for a chimpanzee trekking experience. Kyambura Gorge is a natural wonder carved out by the Kyambura River, and is home to a number of habituated chimpanzee families. During your trek, you will have a chance to see other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, and vervet monkeys. You will return to the lodge for lunch, and in the afternoon, you will have an optional community visit to the local communities surrounding the park. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast, you will set off on your return journey to Entebbe International Airport, with a stopover for lunch in Mbarara town. You will arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon, in time for your evening flight out.
