Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by an Elegant Africa Travels™ representative who will transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the option to take a city tour of Kigali, where you’ll visit the Genocide Memorial Center and learn about the tragic history of the country. Day 2: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. En route, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the rolling hills and scenic countryside. Upon arrival at Lake Kivu, you’ll have the option to relax on the beach or take a boat ride to one of the nearby islands. Overnight at your hotel on Lake Kivu.
Day 8: Lake Kivu – Kigali
Today, you’ll drive back to Kigali, where you’ll have the opportunity to do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs or gifts. Depending on your flight time, you may have the option to visit some of the city’s museums or cultural centers before being transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
